Wylma Hinkley's Obituary
Wylma Hinkley passed away on January 16, 2011. She was born on November 25, 1925 in Brookings, South Dakota to Della and Albert Mohror. She and her husband Lee moved to Central Illinois in the early fifties with their two children. They originally settled in East Peoria and later moved to Morton. Wylma taught sixth grade in Morton and when she retired from teaching, she and Lee opened the “Hidden Treasures” Christian book store in Washington, Illinois. She was an active member of the Grace Evangelical Mennonite Church in Morton where she enjoyed sharing her faith and the fellowship of many friends. In 2001, she and Lee moved to Sebring, Florida to a comfortable retirement. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling, reading, sewing, and doing puzzles. As her health declined she moved into assisted living; most recently The Palms of Sebring. She was very happy there and enjoyed a lovely apartment with a wonderful view of Lake Jackson. She has a son J Scott (Sue) Hinkley of Sebring, a daughter, Merri (Larry) Roderick of Naples, FL and a grandson, J Scott (Jennifer) Hinkley II of New York City.
