I will always remember Tatay Gil as the person who made me love the game Scrabble. It was our favorite pastime during his visits to the Philippines. And, it was always him or my mom who would win the game. They're both brilliant. He inspired me to be the best in everything that I do. My mom would always tell him through snail mails how we were all doing at school. My mom would let me read all his letters for us, the Christmas and birthday cards. He was very thoughtful.
Tatay Gil, I know you are in a better place now. Thank you for everything. You will surely be missed. Rest in eternal peace with our Lord. We love you.
