Robert is someone I've worked with for very many years - going back to days at Amtico. Throughout all that time, he has always been one with a calm demeanor and who was sincerely interested in helping sort through any problem or situation brought to him. A great sense of humor, always smiling and calming. Truly an individual I respected and enjoyed working with a great deal.
Kindest regards,
Dennis Jarosz
Barbara,
I was so disappointed to hear about Robert's passing. Although we never met, I've heard so many stories about you, and of course, about "the south." While I was at Congoleum, Robert we very good to me, always available with an ear to listen and a joke to lift my spirits. He truly had a good heart and wanted each and every person to recognize the goodness in their own hearts.
I pray that your time with him his last months has prepared you for his passing and that you continue to bring Robert's spirit alive.
Warmest regards,
TC Garrod

Barb....we all got to know Robert through your FB and blog posts even though many of us have never met either of you in person. It is very clear how devoted you were to each other and how much Robert will be missed. Take comfort in that love and all the wonderful memories you have and know that you took the very best care of Robert during the last months. He will be waiting for you down the road.

My uncle Robert never met a stranger, and always had a kind word. He loved to laugh and told the best stories, many of which I wouldn't repeat in mixed company. Even as a kid, I understood his humor and loved every minute I spent with him. We kept in touch, even though I haven't seen him in a while, and now and again we would trade emails or even FaceTime. I'm so thankful Barb was there for him during his transition, and that he was met with the comfort of his family in hospice. I love him dearly and he will be sorely missed.
