Richard J. Hassick, 70, Wildwood, FL. passed away on July 27, 2015 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, FL. Mr. Hassick was born on August 21, 1944 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to his parents Joseph and Jacqueline Hassick. Mr. Hassick was a former Tool and Die Maker for General Motors Corporation. He and his wife moved to Wildwood 15 years ago from Plainville, Connecticut and he was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Hassick was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Bristol, Connecticut. He was also a light aircraft Pilot and flew radio controlled model aircraft. He was involved with softball where he would act as an announcer, and he also had another love which was his 1958 Corvette classic car. He is survived by the true love of his life and best friend of 47 years: Ann G. Hassick of Wildwood, FL; two sister-in-laws: Katherine Capocci of Sebring, FL and Sally Fortier of Ocala, FL; two god children: Robbie Carlson and Lisa Nail; Nieces and nephews: Terrie Block, Charlie Block, Amanda Crawford and Michael Fortier and several grand nieces and nephews.
