Hey Buddy...it's your friend Jon. I don't know if you see these things up there in Heaven or wherever you might be but I really miss you and our conversations. I still can't believe you are gone. Life is just not fair sometimes. I think about you often. I wish we would have spent more time together these last few years. But that's on me Phil. You were a great friend to me. Thanks for always being there for me. Talk soon.
Hey Phil…this is your buddy Jon. I called yesterday to check-in on you and was devasted by the news of your passing. I spoke to Judy, and she filled me in with the sad news. Damn dude, this is really hitting me awfully hard. I can’t believe that you are gone. We may not have seen each other in some time but our phone calls to one another were epic. You were always there for me with advice or anything that I may have needed. You always had a way to make me laugh. And I think what I appreciated the most was how brutally honest you were with me when it came to real life decisions. We both know that we made our share of bad ones, but you had become like the brother I never knew I needed and someone who always showed up for me in good and bad times. I’m going to miss our breakfast outings at Ihop and going out on your fishing boat. I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. It wasn’t supposed to happen this way brother. We had a lot of good times together my friend and I will see you again on the other side. That’s a promise. My sincere condolences to Phil’s family and friends. Phil will be missed for sure.
Dearest Phil, From the beginning of your marriage with Judy, you were accepted and loved from the family. You were always kind, and considerate. I could ask you for advice about anything, and you were always so willing to help. Ed or I would ask you for help with a project at home, and you were there bringing your wit, wisdom and tools. Ed would say to you, "you are my favorite son-in-law", and you would respond with, "I am your only son-in-law." When we had family dinners, I could count on you to bring Banana Pudding, It is soo good. I am going to miss that. You were such a good cook, and Ed, was too. You all would compete with each other who who prepared the best main dish. You always won, but I think I remember one time when you gave Ed the best compliment. Didn't happen often. Dearest Phil, You were a welcome addition to our family. You are loved by all and will be missed. Ed, Judy's Dad, would always say to you that you were his favorite son-in-law. You would respond, "I am your only son-in-law". When we moved to Ocala, Ed would look forward to your visits. Phil was always so kind to us. Whenever I asked for advice on anything, or asked him to to help us with a project, he was always so willing and kind.
