Monica Chang-Hunt's Obituary
Monica E. Chang-Hunt, 74, of The Villages passed away Monday, April 27, 2015. Ms. Chang-Hunt was born November 3, 1940 in Montego Bay, Jamaica to the late Jackson Chang and Dorothy Chin. She was a retired Executive Assistant from Fannie Mae and moved to The Villages in 2007 from Silver Springs, MD. She was a devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and while working in Washington she raised money for and was a strong advocate for the homeless and feeding the hungry and was a member of both Life of Christ Prayer Group, at St Andrews Church and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Silver Spring, MD. Monica was a former Miss Sr. Sumter County, a volunteer for the Wildwood Soup Kitchen and a co-founding member of the Emanuel Charismatic Prayer Group in St. Vincent de Paul. Survivors include her fiance' of 7 years, Arnold E. Nelson; son Benedict Chang and daughter-in-law Suzanne Coutee-Chang; mother, Dorothy Chin of Plantation, FL; brothers, Basil Lloyd Chang, Mark Chin and Anthony Chin; sisters, Sheila Chan and Yvonne Pappas-Mowatt along with her grand dog, Peaty Chang. A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated 12:00pm, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood.
