Milton Johnson Hill's Obituary
Milton Johnson Hill, 81, of Coleman, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1944, in Oxford Mississippi to Hollis and Hilda (Hodge) Hill.
Milton was a devoted father, grandfather, and public servant whose life was marked by dedication, compassion, and service to others. He cherished his two grandchildren, Collin and Cayden Polania, and held a deep love for his family.
A proud Master Mason, Milton was a member of Wildwood Masonic Lodge No. 92 F.&A.M., where he exemplified the values of brotherhood and integrity.
Milton served as Mayor of the City of Coleman, where his leadership and commitment to the community left a lasting impact. His career in emergency services spanned nearly three decades, retiring as a Lieutenant with the Apopka Fire Department after 28 years of saving lives and protecting his community. He also served as Emergency Services Director, continuing his mission of public safety and care.
Milton is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda (Luis) Polania; sister, Sonia (Pat) Sides; nephew, Aaron (Sally) Sides; and his beloved grandchildren, Collin and Cayden Polania. He also leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends who will deeply miss his love, loyalty, and laughter.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service / Gathering will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Coleman Community Center 1204 Church St. Coleman, FL 33521.
