Kendall Karl McIntyre's Obituary
Kendall Karl McIntyre, 74, The Villages, Florida went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2014 under the loving care of family and staff of The Villages Hospice House. Mr. McIntyre was born on December 31, 1939 in Dover, New Hampshire to Paul Linwood McIntyre and Ruth Jane McIntyre. He was a Research and Testing Pilot for the U.S. Army retiring with over 29 years of service. Mr. McIntyre served two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He was a Research and Development test pilot for both the Blackhawk and the Apache helicopter systems.
He was of the Methodist faith and attended New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages, a member of The Boston Red Sox Nation in The Villages, The Military Officers Association of America of Ocala where he served as President for 2 years, The New Hampshire Club of the Villages where he also served as President for 4 years, and a former member of The Silvertones (Acting Club) of Hernando County where he served as a Director and M.C. for their performances. He is survived by his loving wife of over 25 years: Carola McIntyre of The Villages, FL; two daughters: Christine McIntyre of Portland, OR and Sharon Zulliger (Tony) of Temple Terrace, FL; a brother: Paul McIntyre (Linda) of Ocala, FL; a sister: Anna-Jill Smallwood of Ocala, FL; three grandchildren: James, Darren and Sarah; two great-grandchildren: Chandler and Allison and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00AM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL. with Burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full Military Honors. A Visitation will take place prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00AM till the hour of service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in his loving memory to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
