Joyce C Palmer's Obituary
Joyce C. Palmer, 89, of Wildwood, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016. Mrs. Palmer was born July 13, 1926 in Oxford to Malcolm and Marie (Brown) Collier. She has lived here all of her life graduating with the class of 44 from Wildwood High School. She retired from CSX as a clerk. Joyce was a member of the Wildwood United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, NARRVE and DAR. She had volunteered as a pink lady for LRMC for many years and also volunteered with Brownwood Care Center as recently as earlier this month. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Rawlings (Jim) of Lake Jem, Patrice Palmer and Suzanne Palmer both of Wildwood; sister, Judy Carroll of Oxford; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Visitation will be 3:00pm – 5:00pm, Sunday, April 3, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday at Wildwood United Methodist Church with interment following in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Wildwood United Methodist Church or Cornerstone Hospice. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
