James J O'Brien's Obituary
James J. “O’Bie” O’Brien, 82, of The Villages, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Mr. O’Brien was born January 14, 1932 in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph G. and Naomi M. Maroney O’Brien. He was a retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and then worked for a distribution Company in Brockton, Mass. He was Catholic, was the Past President of the VFW Post 1046 in Brockton and enjoyed giving to charities, cooking, Irish and Country and Western music. He moved here in 2012 from Brockton, Mass. Survivors include his sons, Jack Deschaine and Stephen (Frances) Deschaine; sister, Judie O'Brien Johnson; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty P. O’Brien.
