Harold Joseph Ray's Obituary
Harold Joseph Ray, 84, of Ocklawaha, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Mr. Ray was born March 20, 1930 in Closter, NJ to Harold and Blanche (Hunton) Ray. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War, U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired carpenter and moved here in 1994 from Palm Beach County. He was of the Lutheran faith, a member of the Wildwood Masonic Lodge, Wildwood Chapter of the Order Of The Eastern Star, a 53 year member of the American Legion in Lady Lake and a 50 year member of the 40 et 8. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 65 years, Marie; 2 daughters, Karen Gonzales of Ocala and Bonnie Bourque (Chris) of Port St. Lucie; 3 grandchildren, Sarah and Nichole Gonzales and Jillian Bourque. Harold was preceded in death by his son, Harold J. Ray, Jr. and grandson, Brian Gonzales. Visitation for Harold will be Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 3:00 PM to 5:00PM in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with Masonic Rites rendered at 4:30PM. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the Florida National Cemetery with the American Legion providing military honors.
