Ellis Frederick Crandell's Obituary
Ellis F. Crandell, 81, of The Villages passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. Mr. Crandell was born January 27, 1935 in Denver, CO to Orvel and Edna Mae (Santer) Crandell. Ellis was a U.S. Coast Guard Korean War Veteran. He retired from Delta Airlines after 34 years of service as a Station Manager. He moved to The Villages in 2003 from Kansas City, MO and enjoyed golfing, woodworking, using his computer and collecting items. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Darlene; children, Jo Ellen (Hal) Braun of Eustis, Douglas Crandell of Hillsboro, OR, Jeffery Crandell (Kevin Winston) of Belmont, CA; brothers, Leroy Crandell of Alburquerque, NM and Norman Crandell of Denver, CO; grandson, J.D. Braun. Ellis was preceded in death by his son, Ellis, Jr.; brother Orvel, Jr and sister, Shirley Betts. Family and friends will celebrate Ellis’s life 1:00pm, Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel.
