Charlene was one of my mother's (Mary Hyatt) closest friends. Emily and I were in the same graduating class at Greenwood and Mom and Charlene became close working together on marching band activities. Their friendship continued until my Mom's passing in 2001. I have fond memories of Charlene coming to Mom's when my kids were little and also bringing her granddaughters to visit. Charlene loved to be on the go and she would pick Mom up (Mom never got her driver's license) and they would run errands around town. I think it was about 5 years ago that I last saw Charlene.
