Without doubt my favorite Aunt. While my love for her could never come close to the feelings my Mom, Agnes, felt for Bernice; her passing leaves a huge hole in my heart. I know Christ will bless and keep her until we meet at the Rapture.
I'll always remember the great fun and conversations that we had when you got Aunt Bernice and my mother, Agnes (Aunt Aggie) together. Those Hasty women and their stories of growing up in the depression, the coming of age during the period of WWII, dating their boyfriends and later marrying and having their families. Whew! I would laugh until tears and sometimes cry listening to their stories. Of all of my many aunts on both sides of the family, Aunt B. was my favorite. I always felt a special closeness to her and she had often remarked that she and I were very much like Grandma Loda Ivey Hasty in physical size/shape and kindred spirit. We also shared a love of cooking, beautiful flowers, cruising the sea, and our "kitty babies." While there is now a huge void in the lives of all of us who loved her dearly, to know that we will see each other again in the presence of our LORD will comfort and sustain me and the family today and tomorrow. Love you always and forever Aunt B,
Tutti (Agnes Dale Hooper)
I loved her so much. Meeting her in church was a great day for me. She was so sweet and made me feel like I could have belonged to her. May she rest in peace with all the loved ones that have preceded her. I know she is walking those golden streets and rejoicing. Hugs and sympathy to you all. Uvela (Cheezy) and Angel
