Charles K. Shumate, Jr., 78, of Sebring passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Shumate was born October 17, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to Charles K. Shumate, Sr and Rita Jean (Hancock) Shumate. He retired from GM in Indianapolis, moved to Sebring in 2002 from Mooresville, IN and worked part-time for several years as a flag man at the Sebring Raceway. Charles was a member of the Sebring Nazarene Church and a Mason. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mary; sons, Charles K. Shumate, III of Sebring and David Lee Shumate (Lora) of Sebree, KY; grandchildren, Whitney Daniel, David William, Sandra Faye and Delaney Grace.
