Willie Randal Croom's Obituary
Willie Randal “Randy” Croom, 58, of Lake Panasoffkee, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015. Mr. Croom was born June 17, 1956 in Bushnell to the late Willie Berle and Mary Elizabeth (Prevatt) Croom. He has lived in Sumter County all his life. He retired after 40 years as a Dairyman for Lupien’s Dairy. Randy was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and repairing almost anything for people. He was called “Handy Dandy Randy” by some. Survivors include his children, Tammy Jenkins (Stretch) of Lake Panasoffkee, Tonya Heffington (Bobby) of Polk City, John Randal “JR” Croom (Brandi) of Homosassa, Rachel Croom of Zephyrhills, Bekah Croom of Dade City, Deseray Croom Catlett (Ray) of Ellsinore, MO and Waylon Croom of Daytona; siblings, Larry Wayne Croom of Bushnell; Barbara Whitman (John) of Bushnell, Johnny Croom of Bushnell and Danny Croom of South FL; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy L. Croom. Randy’s family and friends will celebrate his life with visitation being held 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, January 30, 2015 with the service at 8:00pm in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. He was loved and will be missed dearly.
