William O. Hudgins' Obituary
William O. Hudgins, 76, of Leesburg, FL passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was born March 8, 1945 in Luxora, AR to Egbert D. and Arbie B. "Lemons" Hudgins.
William graduated from Wildwood High School in 1963 and remained a fan and supporter of the Wildwood Wildcats by attending every almost every game. He was also a fan and supporter of the Florida Gators. When not at a football game you could find him at the beach in Key West with one of his sisters, niece, Linda Mae Slagle, or dear family friend, Carol Lee. He found peace at the oceanside and the family reunion was usually at Daytona Beach.
William will be remembered as a very kind, loving, generous soul, who would take care of family members without hesitation; when called upon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Oscar, Joseph, Russell, and Earl; sisters: Ramona McLemore, Frances Vera Tarr, Mary Hudgins Trett, and Betty Stieringer.
He is survived by brothers: Lyman (Gladys) Hudgins of Waynesville, NC, Perry (Joan) Hudgins of Dawson Springs, KY and James (Gail) Hudgins of Fruitland Park, FL; sister, Emma Hudgins; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other loving family and friends.
There will be a visitation from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Friday, February 11, 2022 - Followed by a Celebration of Life, Officiated by Pastor Craig Attaway at 12:30 pm Friday, February 11, 2022 at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home 410 Webster St. Wildwood, FL 34785.
