William Gary East's Obituary
William (Bill) G. East passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Bill was born on November 13, 1940, in North Hornell, NY to parents Cecil P. East and Evelyn Helen Davis East, now deceased.
Bill joined the Pacific Air Force in 1963 and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA. He is a Vietnam War veteran and was a member of the TAC CON Squadron. He received 4 medals, 2 awards and a small arms expert marksmanship ribbon. Bill continued his marksmanship by competing in tournaments when he returned state side.
Bill owned a plumbing supply company in Wisconsin and retired to Arizona in the late 1990s. Bill was a Villages resident since 2007. He was a well-known softball player who played for the Cavaliers for many years. He loved hunting, playing golf, rooted for the Dodgers, and cheered for the Green Bay Packers.
Bill will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol A. East, his stepdaughter KimBerly Lindstrom, his stepson Christopher Lindstrom and daughter in-law Melissa Lindstrom, he had 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM with honors by the MacDill Air Force Base Honor Guard.
