William E Pickett's Obituary
William E. ”Bill” Pickett, 80, of Wildwood, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010. Mr. Pickett was born in Jackson, Michigan and moved to Wildwood in 1978 from there. He was of the Methodist Faith and had retired from the 76 Truck Stop as garage manager in 1989 and then worked for Rimes Well Drilling and Village Air. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army a member of the VFW Post 10084 and the American Legion Post 18, Wildwood. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, grilling and time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Gail; children, Joe, Don and Bob Pickett, Sue Denton, Tanya Mills, Cecil Collier and Daphne Conley; brother, Jim Pickett; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Pickett and 2 grandchildren, Brock and Sarah. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00PM, Sunday, April 18, 2010, in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Graveside services will be held 11:00AM, Monday in Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 12300 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, Fl. 32778-9605. On line condolences may be left by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
