William Talmadge Cochran's Obituary
William “Talmadge” Cochran, 87, of Ocala passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. Mr. Cochran was born November 27, 1925 in Palm Beach to the late Cecil and Ruth (Nix) Cochran, Sr. He has lived in this area all of his life. He served in both WWII and the Korean War before retiring from the U.S. Navy in 1962, then he was a book keeper for Seminole Feed and then the lease car manager for Ocala Ford. He was of the Presbyterian Faith and enjoyed golfing. Memberships included the VFW, ELKS, Wildwood Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine. Survivors include his loving wife of 11 years, Miriam “Mink”; sons, William and Donald both of Ocala and Steve (Betty) of Palm Beach; daughters, Trish Cochran of Ocala and Diane (Steve) Howard of Jacksonville; 5 grandchildren, Chris, Jessica, Spencer, Lee and Stephen along with 6 great-grandchildren, Jovie, Courtney, Delaney, Whitney, Collin and Addison. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil. Visitation for Talmadge will be 11:00am – 12:00 noon with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel.
