William R. Blackmon's Obituary
William R. Blackmon, 93, of Weirsdale, passed away surrounded by 4 generations of his family. Mr. Blackmon was born February 2, 1927 in Oneco, FL to Archie and Myrtle (Turnipseed) Blackmon. He was a WWII Veteran serving our country in the Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theatre. Bill retired as an Electrical Contractor and moved here in 2005 from Ft. Lauderdale. He truly loved his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Anita; son, Mark Blackmon (Laura); daughter, Beth Vasquez (Lou); grandchildren, Joshua, Jered, Rachel, Jacob, Anita and William; great-grandchildren, Mason, Velouria, Abigail, Jade, Roman and Asher. The family will have a private interment in Florida National Cemetery and a Celebration of his Life with family and friends in the future.
