Wilfred Peter Duprey Jr.'s Obituary
Wilfred Peter Duprey, Jr., 86, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025. He was born December 30, 1938, in Bangor, ME to Wilfred P. and Idell Myra (nee Jordan) Duprey.
Will proudly served in the National Guard, demonstrating a deep commitment to his country. After retiring from a successful career as a welder in Connecticut, he relocated to Florida in 1978, where he embraced the warmth and beauty of the outdoors.
Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Will had a gift for making others laugh and feel at ease. He found great joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature—activities that reflected his adventurous spirit.
Above all, Will’s unwavering faith in Jesus Christ guided his life. As an ordained Deacon, he served with devotion and humility, leaving a lasting impact on those blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Donna Keeney, Jeanette Davis, and Betty Day; and brother, Billy Duprey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Delnora (Dellarco) Duprey; son, Sonny (Bionka) Duprey of FL; daughter, Bonnie ‘Lou (Peter) Griffiths of CT and Darcy Bruno of Inverness, FL; loving step-sons: Charlie (Nettie) Robson of TN, Lewis (Myra) Jones of FL, Patrick (Sherri) Jones of FL, Fred Jones of FL and Philip Jones of FL; sisters: Jackie Ober of PA, and Jill (Greg) Desaulniers of VA., including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Will was blessed with a large, loving family. Although he will be deeply missed, we rejoice that he is fully restored in the very presence of our Lord and Savior.
There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 11:00 am Adamsville Baptist Church 4839 Warm Springs Ave, Wildwood, FL 34785 with Pastor Richard Clark officiating.
