Wayne June Taylor's Obituary
With family by his side, Wayne June Taylor, 88, passed away July 5, 2019 at his home in Avon Park, Florida. Wayne was born June 11, 1931 in Clio, Michigan to Charles and Emma Taylor and recently celebrated 67 years of marriage to Gladys Jewel Henshaw. Wayne was a loving husband, father and friend, always eager to help anyone in need.
An entrepreneur never afraid of hard work, Wayne owned and operated several businesses until eventually retiring in Florida. There, he enjoyed spending time with family and going to flea markets to buy, sell and bargain. Some of his other favorite activities were fishing, hunting, collecting guns, building, repairing, painting, working on cars, reading religious books (especially the Bible) watching Christian TV programs, and eating ice cream. Above all else, Wayne IS a devout Christian who made his life’s mission to study God’s word and spread His good news. Even before becoming a licensed minister, he won many souls for Christ, including those of his own children.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, and children: Michael Taylor, Debra Harris, Robert Taylor (Denise), Julie King (Kevin), Sherry Aranda, Chris Taylor, June Medina (Jose’), and Steven Taylor, his sister, Linda Hammel (Max), and brother, Brian Taylor (Margret), and 18 grandchildren.
Wayne’s family would also like to thank Kar, Good Shepherd Hospice, Norma, Kim Taylor, Rickie, Tom, Gene, Peter, Lisa, and their Bible Study group for their love and support. As per his wishes, he will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held by the family. Arrangements are by Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Florida.
