Walton "Walt" Randolph Garrett's Obituary
Walton “Walt” Randolph Garrett, 70, of Madison, Florida passed away on April 11, 2026, at First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care in Tallahassee, Florida after a multi-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Walt was born on February 23, 1956 in Ocala, Florida to Walton Wallace Garrett and Imogene (Caruthers) Garrett.
Walt was a lifelong resident of North Central Florida beginning in Oxford, Florida, moving to Inverness, Florida and finally to Madison, Florida. He retired from Florida Power after over 37 years of dedicated service primarily as a lineman. Walt had a passion for the outdoors and could usually be found working on various projects around his home. He enjoyed raising goats on his farm, processing logs into lumber on his sawmill, and crafting beautiful furniture, cutting boards, and knives for family and friends.
Walt was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Susan Linginfelter. He is survived by his daughter: Sarah Regnier and her husband Roland Regnier of Westborough, MA; a son: Matt Garrett of Alameda, CA; three grandchildren: Paul Regnier, Alison Regnier, and Myles Garrett.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 12:00PM (Noon) at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel with Leon Jennings officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 10:00AM till the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford, Florida.
