Verty Marie Kelley's Obituary
Verty Marie Kelley, 84, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Mrs. Kelley was born May 21, 1927, in Perry, Florida and moved to Coleman around 1945 from Jacksonville. She was a retired sales clerk and a Baptist. She loved gardening, birding and being outside enjoying nature. As a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she raised 3 generations of her family. Survivors include her son, Franklin (Carolyn) Kelley of Bonifay; daughter, Myra (Charles) Paxton of Oxford; sisters, Evelyn Cruce, Beatrice Cruce and Francis Ward all of Tallahassee; brother Lloyd Cruce of Tallahassee; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Samuel Kelley and Ann Sayer and a great granddaughter, Anna Kelley. Funeral services for Mrs. Kelley will be held 11:00am, Saturday, September 10, 2011, in the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
