Velta S Rodgers' Obituary
Velta Rose Schoolcraft Rodgers, 92, of Center Hill passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. Mrs. Rodgers was born February 10, 1921 in Knoxville, Tn. She was married for 50 years to James L. Rodgers who preceded her in death in 1997. Center Hill has been her home for 70 years and she had worked for 34 years at the B&W Canning Plant in Groveland. She was a loving mother and wife. Survivors include her 3 children, Barbara (TL) Smart of Coleman, Linda Bethea of Center Hill and Forrest W. (Sharon) Rodgers of Clermont; brother, Carroll (Louise) Schoolcraft of Shelby, SC; 4 grandchildren, Tammy (Michael) Slankard, Erik Bethea, Jackson Rodgers and Jordan Rodgers; 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronson R. Rodgers. Visitation for Mrs. Rodgers will be 5:00 – 7:00pm, Sunday, June 2, 2013 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Graveside services will be held 3:00pm, Monday, June 3, 2013 in the Center Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jimmie Jones officiating. We Love You and Miss You Always Momma.
