Travis Gene Sapp's Obituary
Travis Gene Sapp, age 73 of Webster, went home to be with his Lord and Savior July 18, 2018 in Sumterville, Florida. Travis was born August 1, 1944 to Arthur Eugene and Bertha Mae (Walker) Sapp in Blackshear, Georgia. He married the love of his life in 1975 in Lake Panasoffkee. She preceded him in death on January 21, 2018.
Travis joined the Navy after graduating High School, proudly serving for four years during the Viet Nam war. After he discharged from the Navy he went to work for the telephone company where he worked until he retired. Travis was a devout Christian and faithful member of his church, the Interdenominational Worship Center. He loved the outdoors and had a great since of humor, loved practical jokes and was an avid knife collector.
Travis is survived by his sons: Stanley Bevington (Theresa) of Citrus Springs, FL, Noel Gene Bevington (Sherry) of Wahoo, FL, Robert Louis Bevington of Webster, FL; daughters: Jeanette Mills (Jesse) of Old Town, FL, Merial Bevington of Croomacoochee, FL; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Sister: Shirlee Hatcher of Bushnell, FL, 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
A memorial service will be held on August 1, 2108 at 11:00 AM with a meet and great at 10:30 at The Interdenominational Worship Center in Webster, with inurnment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 12:30 PM. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to help defray the cost of the funeral services.
