Terence Loren LaVeigne's Obituary
Terence Loren LaVeigne, 83, Oxford, Florida went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2013 under the loving care of family and staff of The Villages Hospice House. Mr. LaVeigne was born on August 29, 1930 on the shores of Lake Miona, Oxford, FL. to his parents James Grant LaVeigne, Sr. and Rubie (Brown) LaVeigne. He was a lifelong resident of Oxford and member of Oxford United Methodist Church. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A man of many talents, he was a mechanic and owned his own automobile repair shop for many years, he was also a licensed real estate agent but his love of wood carving was his passion. He was a chainsaw artist and operated “Water Bird Arts” where he was affectionately known by the residents of The Villages as “The Birdman”. He is survived by his loving children: Gina (Jack) McDonald of Wildwood, FL, Cheri (Johnny) Coniglio of Wolfe City, Texas and David (Brenda) LaVeigne of Wildwood, FL; seven grandchildren: Michael (Christine) Brown, Jeremy (Natalie) Tillman, Jaime Coniglio, Andrew Coniglio, William (Stephanie) LaVeigne, Kelly Riley and her fiancé (Aaron) and Kaley LaVeigne; eight great-grandchildren: Jessica, Justin, Trayton, Laney, Joseph, Tyler, Carlie and Wyatt. Sister-in-Laws: Midge LaVeigne, Helen Freeman and Shirley (Dewaine) Spears and a host of family and friends. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Flo, a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Carlee Tillman and his brothers Jimmy and Don. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date by his loving family. The family has requested that donations may be made to Oxford United Methodist Church or Cornerstone Hospice for The Villages Hospice House in his loving memory.
