Sylvia S. Linthicum, 79, Avon Park, Florida passed away on May 6, 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Florida surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Linthicum was born on December 28, 1936 in Hamilton, Ohio to her parents Carlton D. Blount and Bertha (Hoffman) Blount. Mrs. Linthicum was a retired Receptionist from Able Pest Control in Springfield, Ohio. She was of the Lutheran faith and had moved to Avon Park with her husband in 2009 from Springfield, Ohio. She enjoyed playing bingo, creating beautiful paintings and making jewelry. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years: Harley Linthicum of Avon Park, FL; loving children: Michael (Deborah) Linthicum of Springfield, OH and Brenda (Daniel) Lewis of New Carlisle, OH; a brother: Fred Blount of Springfield, MO; grandson: Chad (Tara) Linthicum of Oak Ridge, TN; three great-grandchildren: Ellie, Piper and Ryder. The family has requested donations to be made to The American Cancer Society in Sylvia’s loving memory. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
