Suzanne Bogue's Obituary
Suzanne “Suzie” or “Sue” Bogue passed away on September 29, 2016 in her home in The Villages, Fl. Sue was born on December 11, 1940 in Miami Fl, but was raised along with her sister Linda, in Savannah Ga. During her adult life, Sue resided in South Hadley, MA, Logansport IN, Goodland IN, and The Villages, FL.
Sue is survived by her son Steve Gess (Vicki) of Colorado Springs, CO., her daughter Cindy Silvestri (Jeff) of Mims, Fl., her stepdaughter Theresa “Terri” Bowen (Mike) of Port St John Fl, and her stepson, Todd Bogue (Holly) of Titusville Fl.
Sue also is survived by 9 Grandchildren; Ricci, Stephani, Celina, Alicia (Greg), Korey (Jenny), Kody, Sabrina, Tyler, Bailey, and 6 great grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly Elizabeth Gess and her loving husband and soul mate Lawrence “Larry” or “Bogie” Bogue.
Sue and Larry were truly a magical couple whom loved each other immensely. Their love for each other was unwavering and evident in everything they did; from involvement in their church in Goodland IN, raising their kids, cherishing their grand children, involvement in 4H, to even the smallest things like day to day celebration of their lives and marriage. Sue and Larry were at their best with their grandchildren. They had a special ability to turn even the smallest and most insignificant things into a memory of a lifetime. They both truly epitomized the saying,” living in the moment”, especially when it came to their grandchildren and their children, because they enjoyed every moment.
A few years after Bogie’s death in 2000, Sue and her faithful companion and best friend “Sophie”, retired to the Villages in Florida to be closer to her children and grandchildren, where she made lots of new friends.
Sue was extremely creative and crafty, loved to read, cross stitch, hang out with friends, watch golf, and most of all visit with her grandchildren and children. She always cooked your favorite meal when you came to visit!
Sue will be most remembered for her distinct and very contagious laugh, her phenomenal cooking, love of animals, her loyal and long lasting friendships, her ability to make simple things like hanging out and reading magazines on the porch memorable, all the little things in life made her happy; like the first robins showing up in the spring, the smell of lilacs, and the leaves turning in the fall, the way she loved her kids and grandchildren, and most of all the way she put her heart and soul into everything she wanted to do, especially decorating her house for the holidays.
Sue has waited patiently for our lord to allow her to rejoin her beloved “Bogie” again in heaven. Now they are side by side again smiling down upon us all.
Mom, we love you a bushel and a peck with a big hug around the neck, and you are finally home again, home again- jig –gaddy-jig.
