Stanley A Bazan Sr.'s Obituary
Stan “The Man” Bazan, 79, of The Villages, passed Thursday, June 5, 2014 in the loving arms of his wife and daughters. Stan was a Painting Forman and Apprentice Teacher. He was born in St. Louis, MO April 1, 1935 to Stanley E. and Mary Helen (Ferguson) Bazan. He moved to Florida in 1996 and to The Villages in 2007. He was active in many clubs including, St. Louis Club, Mid States, Blockers in The Villages, Painters Union-St. Louis District Council 2, Local 115 for 50 years, Knights of Columbus, Meals on Wheels, Book-Journey Inward Journal. After raising his children, Stan continued to work full-time and completed his Master’s Degree in Vocational Education so that he could teach apprentices for his union and the city of St. Louis Public School System. Most important in Stan’s life was his family. He loved to make his friends and everyone he met happy and to give them a laugh.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dolores (Cauley) of 61 years; children, Stan Jr. (Patty), Judy Marie (Markus Mastroianni), Mary Susan (John); grandchildren: Michael James McClodden (Marlene), Justin Louis Mastroianni, Richard Andrew Mastroianni (Shaina), Brittany Evelyn Hurst, Stanley Andrew III “Bear” (Amanda), great grandchildren: Robby, Tre, Hurst and LiShea Price, Stanley IV, Cory and Olivia (Livi) Bazan, Sebastian Orihuela “Seb”; siblings; Walter Bazan Sr. (Patty), Georgia Emge (Darrell), Diane Taylor (Glen) brother-in-law, John Cauley (Carol), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, an ocean of friends, and gin rummy buddy, John Wruck (Long Hair).
A Memorial Mass for Stan will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to: Ovarian Cancer Research, Diabetic Research Institute, St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund, 5323 E. CR 462, Wildwood, Fl 34785.
