Sidney W Darrah's Obituary
Sidney W. Darrah, 89, Brunswick, GA, went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2012 at The Villages Hospice House under the care of family and hospice staff. Mr. Darrah was born on April 1, 1923 in Concord, New Hampshire to his parents Harold and Eleanor Darrah. Mr. Darrah was retired Immigration Officer for the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services. He and his wife moved to Oxford in August 2012 from Brunswick, GA. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. He and his wife faithfully attended Jekyll Island Presbyterian Community Church. He is survived by his loving wife Beatrice M. Darah of Oxford, FL; a son: Martin (Susan) Phelps of the Villages, FL; two daughters: Carol Bradford of Bend, Oregon and Cheryl Scott of Brunswick, GA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
