Sharon Lucas Miller's Obituary
Sharon Lucas Miller, 69, of Summerville, SC passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Ms. Miller was born June 10, 1944 in Little Rock, Ar. She grew up in Wildwood attending the First Baptist Church of Wildwood and participated as a member of the Wildwood High School Marching Band graduating with the class of 1962. After graduating she worked as a police dispatcher for Wildwood PD, Apopka PD and Winter Springs PD and also for Martin Marietta. Sharon enjoyed playing darts. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were the light of her life and spending time with them was her top priority. Survivors include her children, Angela Raynette (Andy) Pechlin of Summerville, SC and Leigh Ann Nield of Deltona; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Makayla McCombs all of Summerville, SC and Hannah Nield of Deltona; great-granddaughter, Hayden McCombs; siblings, John W. “Buddy” (Barbara) Lucas of Jacksonville and Elizabeth Garrett of Colorado Springs, Co; nephews & nieces, Kevin Garrett of Colorado Springs, CO, Shannon Parmenter, Brian Lucas, Jonathan Parish, Stephanie Brookshire all of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Lee Lucas on April 3, 1991 and Samuel F. Lucas on January 24, 1990. Three words that sum up the life of Sharon are generous, loving and feisty. Sharon’s family and friends will celebrate her life on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with Pastor Craig Attaway officiating. A reception will follow the service in the home of Bob and Sheila Bernstein. The inurnment will be private in the Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s name to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
