Sharon Faye Green's Obituary
Sharon Faye Green, 67, of The Villages passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016. Mrs. Green was born February 28, 1949 in Louisville, KY to Ruel W. and Eunice (Mattingly) Carter. She was a devout Christian and a homemaker. She moved to The Villages in 2012 from Louisville, KY. Sharon was active in The Villages including her support group for caregivers of disabled persons along with the Single Baby Boomers Club, the Single Baby Boomer Club South, the Singles Dance Club, and the Parrot Head Club. She was very active in her Gilchrist Village participating in many events including Relay for Life. She will always be remembered for her her bubbly personality, her abundant kindness and her sweet smile. Survivors include her sons, Matthew Green of Clarendon Hills, IL and Erik Green of The Villages; mother, Eunice Carter of Louisville, KY; brother, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Carter of St. Louis, MO; sister, Debra (Jim) Garrett of Louisville, KY and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband James Stephen Green and her canine companions, Sophie and Josie. Visitation will be held 10:00am – 12:00pm Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Family and friends will celebrate Sharon’s life from 2:00 – 4:00pm Sunday, September 4, 2016, in the Eisenhower Recreation Center.
