Scott S. Wesson's Obituary
Scott Wesson, 78, of Oxford passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. Mr. Wesson was born June 25, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT to Tyler and Joan (Tatroe) Wesson. He was a retired long distance and local truck driver. Scott moved here in 1984 from CT and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Scott adored his family, friends and NASCAR. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Sandy) Wesson his anchor and inspiration for 34 years. He could often been seen driving around the Villages with his partner in crime and mother-in-law, June Sievers of Oxford. He had 5 children, 1 stepson, 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Pamela Wesson and Judy Lasky who he remained close with throughout his life. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was particularly proud of his grandson Anthony Salerno and his niece Katrina Bane who were very much like a son and daughter to him. He was a devoted lifelong friend and companion to Mike Ducanic who was very much like to a true brother to him. Scott’s family and friends will celebrate his life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 with a gathering at 3pm followed by a vigil service beginning at 4pm in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Scott’s honor may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, www.cshospice.org or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org.
