Salvatore Curcuru's Obituary
Salvatore Curcuru, 87, of The Villages passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Mr. Curcuru was born February 1, 1928 in Palermo, Italy to Lorenzo and Maria Antonia (Maltesc) Curcuru. He was retired from the public school district in St. Louis, MO and moved to The Villages in 2012 from Atlanta, GA. Salvatore loved walking, donuts and gardening. He would help his neighbors on his daily walk by picking up their newspaper and moving it close to the door. He also would walk about a mile to the store to get a donut and bring one home to his wife, who would spit it with him. He was passionate about roses and had started many of his roses from clippings from other rose bushes in the area. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Ann along with his son, Larry and his wife Gail of The Villages. A prayer service with entombment will be held 10:00am, Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
