Ruth Madeline Nichols' Obituary
Ruth Madeline Bane Nichols, age 74, of Oxford, Florida went to meet the Lord on August 26, 2016.
Ruth was born on March 28, 1942 in Lamar, WV to Robert Andrew Bane and Mabel Bessie Vaught Bane.  She was a member of the Blue Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
Ruth was retired from the Citrus County School Board, Inverness, FL where she served as a secretary and substitute teacher.  She owned and operated an upholstery shop in Inverness, FL for 12 years and was later a legal secretary.  Ruth was devoted to her husband and family.  In her spare time she enjoyed reading, computers, and traveling with her husband on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Andy) Nichols and by her father and mother.  She is survived by her three sons, Robert LeRoy Nichols and Randall Leon Nichols of Inverness, Florida, and Richard Lee Nichols of Oxford, FL.  Ruth had one daughter, Ruth Victoria Wyka of Floral City, Florida.  She had eight grandchildren: Krystal, Catlin, and Roberta Nichols; Michael Wyka, Jr., Nicholas Andrew Wyka, and Madeline Hope Wyka; Austin Lee Nichols and Shay Lynn Nichols; two great-grandchildren, Davin Nichols and Gabriel Wyka.  She had three daughters-in-law, Vickie Nichols, Maria Nichols, and Kathy Nichols; and one son-in-law, Michael H. Wyka.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Ruth’s loving memory.
