Ruth E Gleason's Obituary
Ruth E. Gleason, 95, Ocala, Florida, went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2013 in Ocala, FL surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Gleason was born on December 12, 1917 in Defiance, Ohio to her parents George and Nina Miller. She was a Homemaker raising her daughter Nina Gleason-Sabins and helping her late husband in their family business for many years. She moved to Frostproof, Florida in 1980 from Ohio, in 2002 moved with her daughter to Sarasota, Florida in 2002 and then on to Ocala, Florida in 2009. She was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church in Bryan, Ohio and enjoyed to travel with her late husband in their camper and later on motorcycle. She also loved being surrounded by her loving family and reading. She is survived by her loving grandchildren: William “Wanda” Manley, Sara “Rick” Link, Laura “AJ” Karpinski, Shannon “Doug” Nowak and Mary “Derek” Foss; ten great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband William Gleason, a daughter Nina Gleason-Sabins and a great-granddaughter Jessica Manley. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Avon Park, Florida on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Marion County Hospice in Ruth’s loving memory. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
