Robert L. “Bobby” Peavy, Jr., 66, Oxford, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2015 at Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Peavy was born on January 16, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to his parents Robert L. Peavy, Sr. and Nellie Mae (Snowden) Peavy. Bobby moved to Oxford Florida in 1972 from Jacksonville, Florida. He was the Former Owner of Peavy’s Auto Sales in Oxford, Florida. He attended York Street Church of God in Bushnell, Florida. He loved stock car racing and restoring old cars and trucks. He loved being around automobiles and being surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Linda Peavy of Oxford, FL; three sons: Robert L Peavy, III and his wife Erica of Rome, Ohio, Ricky Peavy and his wife Melissa of Oxford, Florida and John Eldridge of Ocala, Florida; two sisters: Ann Miller and her husband Riley of Oxford, Florida and Gladys Harvey of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren: Robby, Ryan, Keith, Shane, Miranda, Serina and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida, burial to follow at Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford, Florida.
