Robert A. Lowinski's Obituary
Robert A. Lowinski, 91, Wildwood, FL. Passed away on May 1, 2014 in Leesburg, FL. Mr. Lowinski was born on December 23, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Peter and Sophia Lowinski. Mr. Lowinski was a Retired Service Engineer in the Food Services Industry. He and his wife moved to Wildwood, FL from Pittsford, NY in 1985. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, FL and a Proud Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army both in the European and the Pacific Theaters where he received the Bronze Star for his gallant service to his country. He was a member of American Legion Post #18 of Wildwood, Fl. He enjoyed golf and bowling up until he was no longer able to participate. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years: Virginia Lowinski of Wildwood, FL; a son: Michael (Theresa) Lowinski of Harrisburg, PA; two daughters: Catherine (Ralph) Campbell of Berkeley Springs, WV and Bobbi Lowinski of Palm Coast, FL; eight grandchildren: two great-grandsons. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 8:30AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg, FL with Inurnment to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to American Heart Association or S.C.A.R.C. in his loving memory.
