Robert A. Kessler's Obituary
Robert A. Kessler, 83, of Sebring passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Mr. Kessler was born January 2, 1935 in Dubois, PA to the late Floyd and Sarah (Swineford) Kessler. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert retired from Delco Products in Rochester, NY after 30 years of service after which he moved to Sebring in 1992 from Rochester. He was a member of many organizations including the MOOSE, AMVETS, AMERICAN LEGION and ELKS. Robert loved Euchre, old Country Music, Country Gospel Music and especially his family. He had a smile for everyone. Survivors include his children, Lynn DeWolf of Leroy, NY, Kenneth Kessler of Avon, NY and Christina Kessler of Oxnard, CA; siblings, Roberta Fleeman of Dubois, PA and Gary & Eileen Kessler of Dubois, PA; close friend, Jean Thomson of Barnum, MN; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie in 2009; second wife Carolyn in Nov 2017; son, Robert Kessler in 2001; siblings, Marvin “Lou” Kessler in 2007, Ronald Kessler in Nov 2017 and Marion Hickman in Feb 2018. A memorial service will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the VFW Post 4300, Sebring. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park.
