Robert E. "Bobby" Caruthers' Obituary
Robert E. “Bobby” Caruthers, 83, of Coleman passed away, Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Mr. Caruthers was born August 4, 1934 in Coleman to Joe D. and Irene (Zipperer) Caruthers. He had played football for the Wildwood Wildcats and graduated with the class of 1952 from Wildwood High School. Bobby retired from CSX but continued working as a local businessman in a variety of businesses. He was a lifelong resident of Coleman and a member of the Coleman United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Alma; sons, Robert E. Caruthers II of Port Angeles, WA and Wendell R. Caruthers of Orange City; daughters, Deanna M. Caruthers of Deltona and Sandra A. Caruthers-Nunes of CO; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00pm, Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Coleman United Methodist Church with entombment following in Adamsville Cemetery.
