Robert Owen Boom's Obituary
Robert Owen Boom, 82, of Woonsocket, SD passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. Mr. Boom was born January 10, 1932 in PA to Jerome and Ruth (Gardner) Boom. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and had retired from Corning Glass. He was of the Methodist Faith and had moved from Oxford in 2006 to Panama City and then to Woonsocket in 2011. Survivors include his sons, Roy of Osceola, PA, Gordon and James both of Woonsocket; daughters, Cheryl Freeland of Lake Panasoffkee, Cindy Pritchard of Huron, SD, Tarea Boom of Oxford and Amanda McKay of Knobnoster, MO, 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Boom will be held 11:00 AM ~ 12:30PM on Friday, March 28, 2014 with the service following at 12:30 PM in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Interment will be in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
