Robert (Bobby) P. Russo's Obituary
Robert (Bobby) P. Russo born 11-12-1948 in Bklyn, NY was promoted into The Kingdom on 3-11-2024 at 75 years of age. Bobby, a Naval Machinist Mate was Honorably Discharged 12-1968. He then embarked into a fulfilling, long term career with the NYC phone company. Over the years Bobby accumulated skills, knowledge, and credibility within the phone company as an assigned FBI contractor. This extended into his second career as Electronics Technician within the FBI, NYC home office. During his incredibly rich and gratifying career Bobby accrued admiration, respect, and many devoted friendships. His superiors and colleagues trusted, relied on and grew fond of his steadfastness. He spoke with many of them regularly. They shared a lifelong bond that was unbreakable.
Bobby was adored by and devoted to his wife of 17 years, Arlene. Their marriage was a second chance at the love they both longed for.
The laughter, bond and love he had with his daughter Karen, her husband Anthony, his son Rob and wife Cheryl, his stepchildren Jessica, her husband Jesse, and Michele will forever be treasured memories they hold close in their hearts forever.
A huge blessing in Bobby life was the bond and friendships he had with his brother Dennis, his niece Layla , his nephew Jason, his sister Carol, her husband Rocco, and their three adult sons Louis, Danny, Thomas, and their partners. He was proud to be the big brother and cool uncle. We know there’s a wealth of joyful memories. His many grandchildren Caleb, Amanda, Lindsey, Madison, AJ, EJ, and Mia will forever treasure the many hours of games, warmth, laughter, dining and dancing they experienced with him.
Moving to The Villages Jan. 2014 Bobby embraced retirement. He enjoyed many new wonderful activities. He especially enjoyed Monday night cards, bowling, golf, playing pool, hanging out, dining out and nightly entertainment.
