Barfield, Robert Stanley's Obituary
Robert S. “Stan” Barfield, 75, Yalaha, Florida passed away on August 2, 2024 at his residence in Yalaha, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Stan was born on May 9, 1949 in Miami, Florida to his parents John D. Barfield and Dorothy (Butler) Barfield.
Stan and his wife Karen moved to Yahala, Florida 14 years ago from Cullman, Alabama. He was proud veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer with over 20 years of service, which began in Vietnam. Stan worked after his retirement for 10 years for Hess Air and 3 years for Cullman Casting and finally retired to Florida. He was of the Christian faith and was a former member of the Amvets post of Leesburg, Florida and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Leesburg, Florida.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Karen Barfield of Yalaha, FL; two sons: Jerry Barfield and his wife Bobbie of Eva, AL and Ricky Barfield and his wife Bridget of Cullman, AL; three daughters: Kady Zentino and her husband Angel of Blountsville, AL, Gloria Barfield of Cullman, AL and Cheryl Gill and her husband Nick of Cullman, AL; sixteen loving grandchildren and several loving great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ervin and Jimmy, a sister. Betty.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10:00AM till 11:00AM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida. Stan will be laid to rest on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 12:30PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with military honors.
