Richard Gale Lundy Sr.'s Obituary
Richard G. Lundy, Sr, 61, of Oxford passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Mr. Lundy was born July 21, 1951 in Wildwood to the late Leamon G. Lunday and Lorine L. Nelson. He has lived here all of his life, had graduated from Wildwood High School, Class of 1969 and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He married Mary L Aldrich on October 12, 1973 in Ocala, Florida. He retired as a rural mail carrier for Oxford and belonged to the Rural Letter Carriers Association and was a past president of the Provident Guild. He loved his work as well as reading, crocheting, writing poetry and bowling. Survivors include his loving wife of over 39 years, Mary; son, Richard G. “Richie” Lundy, II of Oxford; daughter, Stephanie (Andrew) Sigler of Lady Lake; sister, Evona Gallagher of Belleview and a granddaughter, Samantha Marie Sigler. A memorial vigil service will be held 4:30pm, Saturday, May 18, 2013, in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2452 CR 526 East, Sumterville, Fl 33585. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
