Richard Ralph Entwistle's Obituary
Richard Ralph Entwistle, 84, of Sebring, Fl went to be with our Lord, Friday, May 10, 2013, while being cared for by his loving family and the staff of Somers Hospice House. Mr. Entwistle was born March 9, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa and moved to Sebring in 1977 from East Moline, IL. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy, had retired as a salesman for Bartow Ford and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Avon Park. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons and work in his garden. Suvivors include his loving wife of over 65 years, Phyllis; children, Richard & Nancy Entwistle of Novinger, Mo, Diana Dunsworth of Avon Park, Fl, Walt & Crystal Vanderpool of Avon Park, Fl, James & Lisa Werner of Sebring, Fl and James & Laverne Entwistle of Scotland, Ar; a brother, Robert Entwistle and 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys (Smith) Entwistle, sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Robert Stonefield, sister in law Charlotte Entwistle and a grandson Shane Entwistle. A graveside memorial service will be held in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL in the future.
