Raymond F. Adams Sr.'s Obituary
Raymond F. Adams, Sr., 82, of Wildwood, FL and formerly of Whitsett, PA passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. Mr. Adams was born August 26, 1935 in Fayette County, PA to Grover F. and Bessie (Strothers) Adams. He served during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service. He also retired from the Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA then worked in maintenance in several campgrounds including Three Flags in Wildwood. Ray moved here in 2010 from PA and was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God Church. He belonged to the AMVETS, the FMCA and he loved to travel and camp. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; children, Raymond, Jr., Rick, Mike, Linda and Melissa; brother, Jack; sister, Delores Wright, Rose Adams and Janet Vernondale; companion, Patricia Davis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda; son, Jeff; sister, Joann Tringes; brothers, James, Robert and Kenny. Visitation will be 5:00 - 6:30PM, with a service at 6:30PM, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:00AM, Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warier Project, P.O.
