We're so sorry for your great loss of your precious mom, grandma and sister. My heart aches for all of you. My heart is broken with the loss of my sweet friend and I'll miss her dearly.
Close friends since we first met in a 6th grade summer math class, I'll always treasure the many memories of weekend visits to Priscilla's home and spending time with her and her family. She told me that if I wanted something to eat at mealtime, I had better grab the dish quickly as it was passed around the table. Boy, was she right! The pan flew around the table, returning to the center completely empty, while I stared at my empty plate. Everyone laughed and then each shared a portion with me.
During my visits to Florida, Cilla and Don would treat me to a nice dinner and a different sightseeing adventure each time. A favorite memory was our girl's visit to Daytona Beach. A strong wave hit us while we waded in the ocean, flipping us completely into a backward summersault. Once we regained our senses, Cilla saw that she had lost part of her bathing suit, which we very quickly found!
On their family trips to New York State for our high school reunions, Cilla and I, the shy girls, were the first ones onto the dance floor. One winter visit introduced Brandon, Melissa and Jessica to snow for the first time, but it was Don who enjoyed t most, spending hours snow blowing our driveway.
I've always admired Priscilla's deep faith and her ease with being forgiving of others. She taught us to love - love with the heart of Christ. Heaven has gained a precious, sweet angel. Our prayers are with you all for God to grant you strength and comfort and eventually, peace.
With much love,
Cheryl and Ron
