Phyllis Darlene Driggers Hewitt's Obituary
Phyllis Darlene Driggers Hewitt, 71, Ocala, Florida went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2019 at her residence under the loving care of her family. Phyllis was born on June 5, 1947 in Sumterville, Florida to her parents Alvin Driggers and Elizabeth (Roman) Driggers. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Brooks County Hospital in Quitman, Georgia. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Ocala, Florida. She and her loving husband Frank had resided in Dixie, Georgia for 10 years and had returned to Central Florida in 2015. Phyllis had lived in Central Florida for most of her life and she was a graduate of Wildwood High School. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Post #4209 of Ocala, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years: Frank Hewitt of Ocala, FL; a son: Robert McDougald IV of Antelope, MT; a daughter: Darla DeLisa DelRosario and her husband Eric of Orlando, FL; a step-son: Scott Hewitt and his wife Tracy of Ocala, FL; two step-daughters: Danine Patrick and her husband Jack of Titusville, FL and Carla Hewitt of Logan, WV; three sisters: Nadine Ogletree of Ocala, FL, Roberta Driggers of Ocala, FL and Denise Billsen of Umatilla, FL; ten grandchildren: Rodney Wilbert, Eric DelRosario, Jr., Robert McDougald V., Madeline McDougald, Lexie McDougald, Liam McDougald, Brandon Hewitt, Hunter Hewitt, James Carrier and Sara Carrier and many loving nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12 Noon at Banks/ Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel, Wildwood, Florida with a Gathering from 11:00AM till the hour of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the University of Central Florida Marching Band, UCF Foundation, Inc., College of Arts & Humanities, c/o Kara Robertson, 12421 Aquarius Agora Dr., Orlando, FL 32816-1990 or on-line: www.ucffoundation.org/givetocah, in Phyllis’s loving memory.
